Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship Cell in collaboration with the TNP Cell & IIPC Cell helps students to pursue their dream and promote the spirit of Entrepreneurship amongst NITS students and community at a large. It also aims to bring the resources of the institute to aid of the entrepreneurs at need. In addition to this Business Plan Contests, Case Study Contests and advertisement making contests are organized by the cell in order to instil sense of leadership, teamwork and responsibility in the students.
TePP
Technopreneurship Promotion Program
The Ministry of Science and Technology has launched a novel program known as TePP to promote individual innovators to become technology based entrepreneurs. This is an effort to tap the vast entrepreneurship potential of the citizens of India. For this reason NIT, Silchar has been established as a centre for screening and scrutiny [TUC- TePP Outreach Centre] of the innovation and testing its commercial viability. NIT Silchar is the only TUC in the entire Northeast.
